Moving yet unsentimental. The film provides a superb 'sense of place' of turbulent political backdrop of 1970s Mexico through a narrative of a close knitted large family household narrative. Liked the slow pace of the film through stunning sociocultural landscape. Reminds of Satyajit Ray, Ingmar Bergman or Kurosawa's movies in 21st century. Will definitely be one of the best films I have seen. Aesthetically superb!
