I'm sorry, but I normally do not vote on films, an dI felt I had to review this one. I belong to a movie group which watches film and then give it a critique, and I had already bough my ticket. I came in a bit late so I can't say much about the very beginning, but I came in at the time a very loud dance scene was happening at a party. After this, you got figured out that Michael Myers has a friend (James J Courtney) who is just as nutty (well, maybe not as nutty) as Michael. He falls for Curtis's (Laurie) granddaughter and the two are gonna leave the neighborhood and live out their lives in Lala-land, but Jamie Lee won't stand for it because she knows James well. Michael Myers meanwhile, lives inside of a cave that is inside of a huge tunnel, and misbehaves once again--invading people's homes and other public places and butchering them. The scenes are so horrifically graphic, it wold take someone with a strong stomach not to get sick. However, the scenes are also confusing and you don't know why James is such a friend of Michale without getting himself murdered, or what the granddaughter sees in him, or why people leave their doors unlocked. All this movie does after that party scene is make sure you get enough gore all set for Halloween. What was once a good first movie back in the late 70's becomes a movie that is too involved with gore and not much story. But then again--this is what happens when there are too many sequels--the storyline gets tired and the idea of what makes a good movie gets lost. Simply put--don't waste your money.
