Such a clever programme. Catchy songs and animations that get across quite complicated maths concepts in an easy and memorable form, with some geek humour into the bargain. My 5 year old TV addict- who is by no means some kind of prodigy- watches it a lot and we've noticed she really understand things like squares (and can tell you square numbers up to 36, and why 90 isn't a square), a sequence (the Super Special Secret Step Squad), and multiplication (TWO plus TWO plus TWO plus TWO... ugh! how many TIMES do we have to add two?). The numbers all have different characters and are her friends (High five! Lucky seven!) I reckon this programme could do even more, and think there must be room for a numberblocks game that could do a lot of intuitive maths teaching to small kids.
