A serial about love, betrayal, patience and dedication. The story is about Haadi, a decent and respectable young man, who loves his beautiful wife and first cousin , Mahnoor with a dedication that knew no bounds. Really. There were times when I wondered why. But. Anyways. His only wish is to marry her and live with her. Boy, does he get a reality check.
Mahnoor is a self assured and selfish woman, who has no respect for Haadi, who slaved day and night at his deskjob to earn enough to fulfill his wife's demands. All she wants is to be happy, which isn't a bad thing, but she will forego anything for HER happiness which isn't always right. She doesn't heed her mother, Aneesa, a wise woman with self respect and integrity who Haadi and wants him to be happy but she can't seem to control her only daughter. She is one wise lady, BTW!
Uzma, is a young girl who is wise beyond her years. She is the daughter of Haadi's landlord and falls in love with him for his decent and kind personality. She plays a vital role in guiding a very confused and love-torn Haadi, whernevr he wanted to be guided and it was a wise decision that he makes.
In the show, many great characters are introduced, like Waqar, a handsome womanizing spineless coward who traps women and Umereddin, Waqar's BLeSSeD servant. Then there is the wonderful Gethi, a righteous English - speaking politician who also gets caught in Waqar's trap and actually becomes the one woman that he truly loved. the very jovial and the World's-Best- Father Winner, Ifthikhaar Sahab, a wise man who loves his only daughter, Uzma to death and really respects Haadi. But seriously, this guy is SO dense about the tension between Haadi and Uzma that I had to say, How male of him!
What the story really tells is actually found in its haunting soundtrack, Zara Yaad kar. Remember the love that I gave you, which you had no respect for. It talks about the level of respect that two people in love must have with each other. The one giving love and the one receiving it, must both be aware of each other. And that, in love, you have to sacrifice your reputation. But there is no love where you sacrifice self respect. That ain't love. That's just plain devotion, and only God is worthy of devotion.
