Outstanding book by a classic early American author. The story brings to life the tragic Exile and Expulsion of the Acadians (cajuns if you choose).The story follows the tragic treatment of people by another group of people. It seems that these happenings have appeared throughout history-Man's Inhumanity to other Men or Women! People do not have to be a different color ,Just different and Vulnerable. It seems as if People just Love to take advantage of other People and mistreat them, enslave them, or steal their property and/or their resources. The Bright spot is realizing that some people(s) can survive, adjust, and even triumph Look back to those tyrants of Babylon, Rome, Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot ,, or the Taliban or Al-Qaiada. History needs to help us overcome these Wretched Dictators. An informative, educational entertaining book that is still pertinent ;and surely will continue in the future. Tony nicholson

I loved it. Yow, it is a little weepy and staged, but aren't all the other movies! It could happen, not probable, but possible. After O'Biden's monarchy and ties to Russia are over, where will we ,as a country, be? O'Biden will sell us down the river, and Hunter will be his Top Dog!

It is really difficult to keep up with all of the British humor and the snippets of European culture that are cast our way. We, Americans, do not appreciate the culture and humor thrown our way. The movie broaches many of our sexual values and mores. It was similar to the effects of the Smothers Brothers, Rowan and Martins "Laugh-In, and TW3(That Was The Week That Was). All of these weekly shows were an affront to the staid American Puritan and Victorian standards. Monty Python came along from Britain and , also, helped to open up the floodgates of pushing censorship to very high and new levels that had not been challenged, previously. Tony Nicholson-Mattoon, Illinois From a societal challenge , it was great. The movie ,also, was quite a unique method of presenting humor in 1967.
