Today’s Insiders as it concerns the claim that a current cabinet minister is an alleged rapist was disappointing. All commentators on the program agreed that the police would need to sort it out. But the NSW police stopped its investigations at the death of the alleged victim. What makes the ‘insiders’ think they will start again? Minister Birmingham’s ‘leave it to the police’ comment is a stalling response to a very difficult problem.
