ebony exalted

i really enjoyed this series. the depth of the storyline shocked me. honestly, the casting is still questionable but their performances made me understand the choices made. i think this was an amazing real-life adaptation of a childhood story whose viewers are old enough to be able to enjoy this content by now (hopefully). it has an appropriate amount of adult themes that are nuanced with conversations about real-life growing pains of young people, and i appreciate that, although i'm sure some people were expecting something more fake like the kids' version, hence some of the disdain (i will admit i'm not super familiar with original episodes to be outraged about it). but if you want to grow up, you will love this. super excited for next season.
