Beautiful, sweet, nostalgic. A bit sentimental and somehow gives Britain a perfect and greatly idealised reflection of how we like to see ourselves, but enjoyable for all that. Reminded me of the series about the Durrells in Corfu. Exquisite photography, all the main characters are intelligent, kind, brave and decent. The leads are gorgeous physically, the supporting characters quirky. The children are unfailingly well behaved. Enjoyable way to spend an evening.
