I frequently watch Shark Tank and clearly understand that investors are present to listen to entrepreneurs pitch ideas for product development. Stated simply, the investors are seeking opportunities to make money. I was however surprised that the two gentlemen who pitched a rather nice clothing line which provided for free clothing for children in Liberia and jobs for impoverished women in Liberia received very little interest, much less an offer from the panel. I have watched investors show greater interest in bizarre pet projects which do not work. What made this even more striking to me is that right after the episode the station turned to a Black History Month promo. Disappointed.
