In seeing the Lion King for the very first time...The movie was very traumatic and not Disney child oriented at all with being deceptive, having abandonment, killing, evil thoughts, fighting and betrayal. Not a happy kids movie AT ALL! I left out with mixed feelings and none of the feelings were good. I was expecting a happy uplifting movie. As I am in the process of adopting a 4-5 year old child, I could never have taken my child to have seen this movie.... The storyline was just too harsh. Only 10% of the movie had some uplifting moments but even during those times you still felt a sadness from the trauma Simba endure with his leaving family and being blamed for his father’s death. I can say the graphics and visuals were very good and that’s it.....
