If you enjoy sci-fi and have never read the Robot, Empire or Foundation series then you will enjoy this show just fine. Changed too many important characters for me to enjoy. The Story probably needed to be altered to make a watchable series. It's as good as anything else on tv.

Just a subpar movie is all it is. I guess the trailer being far superior to the movie didn't help it much.

Google "Fabian socialism" and read some of the founders quotes and see some of the speeches. Then you will understand the role that the Humanity Bureau plays in this movie. Just read a short clip from Bernard Shaw. In The Intelligent Woman’s Guide to Socialism and Capitalism (1928, pg. 470), Shaw wrote: “Under Socialism, you would not be allowed to be poor. You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you liked it or not. If it were discovered that you had not character and industry enough to be worth all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner; but whilst you were permitted to live, you would have to live well.” Shaw
