a simple review cannot truely explain the love I have for this book... I first read this book when I was 6 or 7 in my primary school library (I am now 22) and even though I had forgotten the name and the author, I could never forget the story and some of the most beautiful illustrations that have fuelled the inspiration for my own art over the years. I have spent the past six or so years trying to remember the name of this amazing piece of literature that I even contemplated going back to my old school library to try find it... I searched public libraries, book stores and no one seemed to know the book about the gardener with a big nose and the amazing illustrations of fictional animals ! don't even get me started on the crazy things id type into google search... and to think a simple trip to Kmart would have it sitting on the shelf staring me in the face... it was like one of those videos off of Facebook, where someone they haven't seen in a long time comes out of nowhere and surprises you... I was crying and everything and yes I almost fell to the floor out of pure shock... safe to say I love this book and the impact it's brought to my life ! defiantly worth every penny x
