People are talking about forced positivity, and yeah I get it. It's a bit annoying to have only Branch balance out the show from being entirely happy-go-lucky. But I honestly do like this show. I used to be really into the movie, so maybe that's why, but I do think I genuinely enjoy watching it. The show teaches some good lessons. There are some episodes that are just 'ALWAYS BE HAPPY LOL HAHA' but there are also a lot where that's not the case, and those episodes are my favourite. Episodes like the one with Suki and her niece, or the one where it's Hug Day and Branch can't work up the confidence to tell Poppy. And sometimes the other characters *need* Branch's seriousness, like in 'Branch Bum'. I think the show is separate from the movie. The trailer for the new movie looks more true to the original film. The animation is nice for the most part. And the songs are so catchy! I do dislike their bullying of Branch though. 7/10?
