Having visited the Tiwi Islands in 2015, I felt like this movie was a piece of propaganda. Unless things have markedly changed, there are many social problems on the Tiwi Islands for the Indigenous community. Do people not wonder why the wedding is "dry" and also that petrol is not available to buy on the island? Of course the wonderful artworks and amazing history are mind blowing, not to mention some residents who are very proud of their heritage, however the social issues are immense. The sugar coating is disrespectful as well as misleading.
