Spike Jonze delivers an emotional look at society and our relationships in the not too distant future. Exceptional acting from Joaquin Phoenix and voice acting from Scarlett Johansson. Visually stunning color pallet and beautiful soundtrack. This high concept sci-fi will tug on your heartstrings and inspire you to live in the moment!

The 100 is a sci-fi TV series set in a post apocalyptic future where human civilization has been forced into Earth's orbit due to a nuclear war. When spaceship systems begin to fail and oxygen becomes limited, 100 prisoners are sent down to Earth in a desperate attempt to preserve humankind. The show starts like a shot out of a canon, with prisoners on the ground in the pilot episode, but it really finds it's stride from seasons 2-4. It offers a unique spin on the survival genre, but there's also something poetic about a series named "The 100" having it's series finale on it's 100th episode.

Excellent direction and acting. Wow.

A charming story with a unique plot and fun characters. If you're in the mood for a quirky rom-com, look no further!

A western about a downtrodden farmer who seizes his opportunity to turn in a notoriously dangerous bandit and save his family's livelihood. Bale and Crowe take turns chewing up scenery, but the real stand-out performance is from Ben Foster, who plays the captured bandit's right hand man. It's thrilling, dramatic and paced perfectly. 5/5

Jan Švankmajer directs this haunting story about an infertile couple who decide to raise a tree stump as their child. The animation is used purposefully and the practical effects are disturbingly realistic. It's thought provoking and unforgettably unique with it's delivery.

A classic 90's movie following a magical and exceptionally dangerous board game that wreaks havoc on all those who play! Robin Williams is as endearing as ever and a young Kirsten Dunst also proves to be a capable actor. The premise allows for a lot of excitement, but the dated CGI and inability to let Williams adlib holds it back for me.

A dark musical comedy about an insecure florist who discovers an unusually lucrative plant with a thirst for blood! The practical effects hold up great and the songs are pretty catchy too. You'll never look at your plants the same way again!

Edgar Wright does an excellent job setting the tone for this movie and balancing its mysterious and comedic elements. Beyond the endlessly quotable dialogue are clever transitions and subtleties that add tremendously to its replay value. Pair this movie with Shaun of the Dead for the ultimate double feature!

Medieval stoner comedy featuring an anachronistic script and great chemistry between James Franco and Danny McBride. This is the definition of a shut-your-brain-off movie.
