At Episode 8 and I am loving the drama. Seo in guk has established himself as one of the best Korean actors. He is so versatile and done all kinds of roles, all of it are so enjoyable and can be watched several times like Reply 1997, Shopping King Louie, High school King, Doom at your service, Squad 38 and The Smile has left your eyes. In Cafe Minamdang, he brings the same intensity to his character as a fake shaman with astute deduction skills. The plot is age old, the comedy slap-stick but what works for the drama is the fast pace, slick transition between scenes, extremely smart direction and well placed humour. An example of this is a parody from the famous scene from Goblin. I thought that was supremely smart. Kudos to the Director. All the supporting characters have done a great job too. The female lead does appear annoying at times but I guess it would be interesting to see how the chemistry works in the coming episodes. Overall the drama is intense as a thriller, worthy to be called a suspense drama and most importantly it is an entertaining comedy. The combination works and hence I would put it in the must-watch list for all K drama lovers.
