*SEASON 7 SPOILERS* Great show, but the ending didn't cut it for me. Nicky, Lorna, Taystee, Red, Pennsatucky, and Maritza didn't have satisfying endings in the least, among other characters. I get that not everyone can have a happy ending, but is it too much to expect an okay one? For example, Nicky. Everyone she loved- Lorna, Red, Shani- was taken away from her, and she ended up running the kitchen, even though she couldn't even cut an onion. I wasn't expecting Nicky to get out of prison and start an amazing new life, because I know better. But at least she could have finally had a chance with Lorna after 6 seasons of on-again-off-again love between them. Since Lorna's baby is dead and things weren't going good with Vinnie. It was the perfect time for her to go back and reconnect with Nicky, platonically even. It's painful to rewatch the show when you know how the characters are going to end up. But the show itself is very meaningful and sheds light on important topics. Just don't expect to be satisfied.
