Raghu Alluri

A feel good family entertainer for the Sankranthi festival from Trivikram and Mahesh Babu. I don't know what section of the fraternity Mahesh Babu irked but the negative fake reviews are following a similar pattern followed by one section during Khaleja. There are a few flaws like under utilizing Meenakshi Choudhary, Rao Ramesh, Raghu Babu, fewer punch dialogues etc but the drama act by Babu was really good. Felt like అ ఆ in places. Songs weren't all too catchy. Wishing there was more on Sankranthi sambharalu and themes to unite Telugus. SriLeela did well too. Mostly a Babu, Kishore and Prakash Raj movie but the big supporting cast all brought up the tail quite well.

2 Stars only for the first half of the movie. Characterisation of the modern day Vasu was pretty decent, with a fresh faced Krithi Shetty and supporting cast of Abhinav and Madonna filling the spaces perfectly. Then the flashback is a complete Hindu bashing Evangelical funded tripe. I think it is expected that a Netflix movie has to have the same agenda, the mandatory 'F' word, lots of snogging, and unnecessary Hindu bashing. The director's Brahmin hate probably comes from his communist upbringing but why would successful A list actors agree to this kind of depravation is beyond belief. Rahul Sankrityan or Netflix movie = Blasphemy. That's the verdict. Stay away from this rubbish if you cannot watch Durga ma made unholy by an Evangelist or cannot stand mis-representation of our history
