This series is SUPERB!!! I have seen movies about Malcom X and Martin Luther King, Jr separately, but to see them together in this series was riveting. I liked how they showed them on parallel paths trying to accomplish the same thing, equal rights and freedom for black people. I also liked how they showed their spouses not just being dutiful wives, but their equals. They all shared one purpose and that was to liberate their people. It is truly sad that in 2024 states like Florida are banning books and black history being taught in schools. I am glad that this film was made because we need stories (history) like to be accounted for.

I knew watching this would bring up so many feelings in me. Sadness, anger, hate and sadness again! The more things change the more they stay the same. Unfortunately, what happen to Emmett is still happening today. The white men that KILLED him I hope they are burning in hell for what they did!
