Not an easy read, stylistically and thematically… but absolutely, devastatingly beautiful. I found it builds to the most stunningly moving conclusion : a magnificent, profound and intensely important novel. One to re-read, over and over. Made me question and research American history, its protagonists and their influence over the chaos that is modern American politics and society. Massive, cannot recommend highly enough.
