The story missed everything that happened on part 1 and the death of a certain character makes no sense because it wasted all of his efforts to nothing.
It will also allow you to play the character who messed up your TLOU experience which also does not make sense.
As well as the ending, it is not definitely what you wanted and there is no room of redemption here.
