Covid 19 has its psychological roots deeply embedded in the brilliant deception of the plot behind this story. I can think of few films that depict mass hypnosis better and do it in a thoroughly enjoyable manner. It's standout relevance in this day and age, of February 2020 depicts that hypnosis perfectly. However as one of my favourite films, I have to say it falls short of the meaningful message in its narrative. Its a great chase movie, but with Michael Bay at the helm of the action sequences, it goes a few steps too far into disbelief. There is so much subtle directing of the casting choices the producers made, it strikes me as a shame Mr. Bay trivialized the rest of the movie by making it too unbelievable. I'm referring particularly to the footage of the sky motorcycle sequences. In my opinion, fabulous casting, some of my favorite screen actors, an otherwise thoughtful script and very snappy editing trips up on this one aspect. I'm a sifi lover and it's still in my top ten, but at the bottom end of it.
