An interesting take on divinity and the trials of building a people from scratch. Loved how brutal yet relatable the Main Character is. My only problem is that the story only gives screen time to the MC and the other characters feel a bit forgettable (Not including the bone badass). I would love to see more side characters getting fleshed out and becoming as memorable as Sion, Randolphus, Hisako, and Krom. But I'm sure that's what book 2 will be.
