There is nothing funny anymore on this show. The writers apparently think that we, the faithful audience (for myself since 1972) will follow their lead. Not so. The GREAT comedians of the day that put SNL on the map for decades, are gone. The ones that are there can never replace the comedic talent, along with the brilliance of the writers that were solely responsible for the success of SNL. It has now become a shameful, trashy and most importantly, a disgrace to the remembrance of those most talented comedians who MADE SNL a comedic legendary show. I miss those days. I miss being able to laugh along with all of my friends, without cringing when racism and politics get in the way. We are weary of seeing Alec purse his lips. We are weary of all of this! I’m sad that the ONE show, that was able to hang in there with me, and one I could pass on and WATCH with my grandkids, has now lost any sort of comedic value.
Rest In Peace, SNL
