Well this is how society is today. Don’t focus on making a great movie that the fans will enjoy, but rather make something for the critics and the media.
Spoilers ahead
This movie starts with McQueen being beaten by next gen cars, and then it’s 1 hour of him training to become better, using older methods, instead of the simulations the newer cars are using. (Kind of like the movie Rocky) By the end we are all hyped up for an amazing race, but half way through the race McQueen switched with a female car, who ended up winning. This threw everyone off. We were not expecting feminism propaganda promoting how women are strong and can do whatever they want. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we wanted an intense even race between McQueen and the next gen cars. But this is the only way Disney can get a high score from BuzzFeed, Vox, WallStreetJournal etc. Which is apperantly more important than making a great ending to a great triology.
