I find this book very authentic in terms of characters and setting and emotions. It takes you to where you want to be taken-- to the place of the characters. Celeste Ng makes you ride with Pearl's life and and keep her mother's secret with you. After reading this book, I ran around my neighborhood looking for someone else to share it with. That's how hooked I am.
