A phenomenal movie. They did a wonderful job of grounding the characters, explaining their motives and giving them depth so that they are relatable to an older audience. The cinematography is timeless and absolutely gorgeous, as well as the set and costume design. Elements were also added in from versions of this tale prior to Disney’s. And I actually love that they didn’t keep the songs and talking mice, as it leaves a place for the original cartoon and did not leave a chance for disappointment in those areas. This is a wonderful film for all ages!
