I liked all of it except the relationship issues with him being much older and a former militant white supremacist suddenly having a mutually romantic relationship that led to a marriage with a much younger mixed race girl.. !! Just didn’t ring true!!

I hated this movie. It was too long very disjointed and depressing and obsessively quoting Uncle Vanya. A horrible three hours.

I liked it much more than I expected. The pace was slow and effective. Very romantic and warm and excellent acting. A very good film.
