The show is very cyclical. Every season is the same thing, there’s a conflict, Korra has to figure out how to beat it, and then eventually does but almost dies or has a part of her identity taken away in the process. There’s not much of a plot that ties the whole show together, the end feels rushed and not very cathartic. ATLA did a great job of keeping the viewer interested by keeping the story relevant throughout, but LOK didn’t do it very well. I was pretty unsatisfied throughout my watch through, just because ATLA set a high standard and LOK didn’t meet that by any means.
