While it’s a very fun and entertaining show, the pacing is very rushed. I really believe that it has some really amazing moments but the connective tissue between them is just flimsy with it seeming like the show is banking on you already being attached to the characters so the development is very rushed. But the music is damn near perfect and like I said very entertaining.

This movie is well acted and is amazingly shot with a genuinely intriguing story about a person struggling with substance abuse. The only problem with it that I see is that sometimes it seems explicit just for the sake of being so. In that sense it doesn’t sit very well with me.

I think this show is perfectly fine once you get past the at some points blatant and annoying political subtext in some of the episodes. I will say it looks beautiful and I really like the way they reimagined some of these characters. I think my favorite episode so far is the third episode because it plays the murder mystery really well. But my least favorite episode would definitely have to be ep. 1. It in my opinion tries to beat the audience over the head with their politics a little too much for my taste and I don’t know I’m not crazy about the Captain Carter character design. It just seems uninspired to me. The dialogue in this show is also very strange and cringy with the MCU’s need to make jokes coming out at its worst sometimes in these episodes. Also I think the second episode confuses me. On the one hand both the dialogue and story both are poorly written and force you to make big leaps in logic. But it’s also just batshit enough for me to find it entertaining. Also I so far have nothing wrong with the way they portrayed Chadwick Boseman’s T’challa in this series except maybe they make him a bit to much of the “the best thing ever” sometimes. Makes me sad we won’t be seeing him in anything after this. He left too soon. But overall it is a perfectly fine show with some big flaws in it.
