that was a great laugh! funny detective movie.

It’s not perfect but it has enough action, emotion and comedy from charming casts. Good entertainment. Some scenes are not believable as in you know that logically they shouldn’t escape this ordeal but they managed to pull through. Overall I recommend the film if you are a fan of any of the casts.

A TRUE MASTERPIECE what makes a great movie? It grasps your full attention throughout the entire film. It makes you keep thinking about the film long after watching it. I'f you're thinking of watching this, think no more! It's so good that you wanna watch it again and again.

Now I know not to judge a movie by its critics. It has low ratings but the movie is overall very well done and enjoyable. Great actings by Vikander, Waltz and Dench. Pleasant depiction of Amsterdam in the 17th Century during the tulip frenzy. Last but not least, the story line is amazingly deep, touching and realistic. It has a reoccurring theme of bad decision (sin), moment of realisation (repentance) and peace within yourself (forgiveness). As a bonus, Dehaan looks just like young Leo Dicaprio here.
