First 3 episodes, meh. It was like a train wreck I couldn't look away from. 4th episode: Ok, I'm intrigued. Now on the 7th episode and holy balls this is flipping incredible. And not just because of all the talk of, ahem, balls...In all seriousness, this show took Monty Python-esque absurdity combined with AI sci-fi, combined with social commentary on religion vs spirituality to come up with some of the most creative television I have ever seen. Kudos to the creators and the actors who somehow seamlessly pulled this nonsense off in a way that makes me want to watch again and again. If you're only an episode or 2 in and thinking it's outlandish, well, you're right. But still give it a chance and keep watching. I promise it's worth it.

Oh the places you'll go! This was equal parts refreshingly different and yet something that was tried and true - the multiple nods to Cruel Intentions (not just the obvious Sarah Michelle Gellar, but Fatboy Slim's Praise You at just the perfect moment and other Easter eggs) really tied it all together. For those who say this was unrealistic - that is the point! Learn to get out of reality and into something that takes you to a world where anything goes. So many twists and turns, it took us to a climax in the story where we didn't know who was the bad guy - or if anyone even was the good guy. But the writers brought it all together with a home run of a film where it didn't matter who the bad guys were - so long as the worst of them all went down with a bang. Entertaining til the very end, I highly recommend Do Revenge if you're looking for something fun and twisted with stellar performances and a great soundtrack to boot. Go watch this!

I saw the preview for this when it first came out but it didn't spark my interest at the time. Decided to give it a shot while having a relaxing Labor Day and holy cow, wound up binging all 8 episodes in one afternoon. If you're on the fence about this, go ahead and hop over that fence. I guarantee it's worth it. The previews make it seem like your run of the mill rom-com with a dash of mystery type of show. But each episode takes you on twists and turns and just when you think you understand what's going on, a new twist unravels and each episode is better than the last. This show defies genres - never have I seen such a creative, powerful story wrapped up in a sitcom like this. It is sure to resonate with anyone who has ever experienced life and loss (which is basically everyone). Add to that a great cast who all contribute impeccable performances, and you've got something that is well deserving of high recognition. Don't let this fall under the radar, it is truly a gem worth watching.

This is so wonderfully wacky, I've watched it 3 times in the past year since I discovered it on Netflix and it never gets old. From the casual furry cult to the sasquatch-chasing Steve Irwin-wanna-be, to a simply adorable performance by Michael Shannon (who btw, was in a whopping 9 movies the year before, performed in Guillermo del Toro's Shape of Water that same year, and still somehow managed to find the time to do a superb job here), this is definitely a quirky comedy worth watching.

I have no idea why the rating on this is mediocre, because the story is incredible. A beautiful depiction of how when western medicine fails, alternative medicine can fill the gaps and then some. For far too long our society has waged its "war on drugs" in the name of targeting all the wrong people. The end result is a corrupt system in a country plagued with mental health issues. This series couldn't have come at a better time when the medical community is finally taking note that the western way is not always the right way. Oregon has broken ground by recently passing a measure to legalize psilocybin, and I can only hope other states do the same. Is this series perfect in its portrayal? No, and there are certainly some problematic aspects (hello, consent). But that is why it's a fictional drama series and not a documentary. Overall, viewed for what it is, this series is a beautiful example of the healing powers of psilocybin and other psychedelics. Hats off to the creators for putting together something that is so provoking and revolutionary.

Warm, charming, and entertaining. The characters are multi-dimensional and relatable and show why representation matters. The story might be an age old tale, but they put a modern twist on it beyond the classic cheesy "beauty and the beast". The show should not have been cancelled after just 1 season and I truly hope that since Netflix picked it up, maybe they'll take it over and add more seasons. But even if they don't, it's worth watching the 1st one if you're looking for a feel-good show with a loveable cast and sweet story.

An all around fun movie that provided what I was hoping for - humor, nostalgia, and a cheesy happy ending because sometimes you just want a cheesy happy ending. The nostalgia piece was by far its greatest asset, bringing back all of the old cast and blending it with stellar performances by 80s greats like Salt 'n Peppa. The downsides - I think there could have been more character development of the 3 daughters, especially the oldest, and also more development of the chemistry between Lavelle and Mirembe. Some folks have given negative reviews saying it doesn't come close to how good of a film the 1st one was. But how could it? The original was a classic and nothing can touch that. But this long-awaited sequel gave a fresh spin in a way that was still engaging and entertaining throughout. Definitely recommend!

I'm in love with this movie! It had me cracking up with tears rolling down my face from beginning to end. The comedic lines are perfectly timed and executed. The chemistry between Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani is refreshing and real. Is it the most unique story line that deserves numerous accolades? Probably not. But neither are most romantic comedies. If you're looking for a well written and well acted romantic comedy with hilarious lines and great chemistry from the cast, you won't be disappointed.
