Babylon 5 was the greatest show of the 1990s, not just in the sci-fi genre, and a television revolution who's influence can been seen from The Wire to A Game of Thrones. This one off animation on the other hand is utter trash from start to finish, it actually strikes me as an act of intentional self-destruction against the franchise on the part of JMS. I'll just give you bullet points: * Poor storyline that relies on nostalgic cheap laughs that basically amount to Boom! and Zathras jokes ad nauseum. * Stale multiverse trope overused in every other popular franchise just lately. * Environmentalist propaganda on Minbar! Minbar for crying out loud! The cleanest planet in the known universe! * Lovecraftian Shadow ships and the Shadows themselves, the most ancient and advanced civilization in the galaxy, reduced to army ants. * Out of character Vorlons sadistically crashing the Moon into the Earth. A note to JMS who has blocked me on Twitter for my honest review. What was the first piece of advice that Harlan Ellison, the man who's estate you now execute, gave to you? STOP WRITING S**T. Take heed.

Still a great game in terms of gun play, pace and mechanics BUT the worst release of EA's history in terms of how they've treated their customer base. Little content released, late delivery, cancellation and constant lies, spin and delays, patches that caused more problems than they solved for a time and worst of all the removal of large parts of game content available at release - Frontlines and Domination modes were removed a few months ago, with the already limited number of maps available removing two whole game modes cut playable multiplayer content by 33%. Rush was teased but so far it's been used as a temporary mode for three-four weeks in total since release. Never in my experience of gaming have entire game modes been removed from a game like this and if this the way the "live service" business model is going to work then I have no faith in EA as a consumer and will not purchase the next title as a result - this is unprecedented in terms of the way they've treated their customer base and in that I have owned and played every PC Battlefield since the original "1942". Truly appalling attitude taken to an otherwise great game - and it really is a great game but it has been hamstrung constantly.
