The show felt like it might be a bit different at times and up the bar on Disney programming after so many lackluster or horrible attempts in the last few years -- but the remarkable lack of tension and poor dialogue / inane plot turns at times undermined what could have been a much better experience. McGregor of course channels Kenobi perfectly, and it was fine to do the Leia/Obiwan pair-up (although now we're again back to the same motif as the Mandalorian, yawn), but can we honestly believe that hired guns and assassins cannot catch a little girl in a footrace over and over? The first confrontation with Obiwan and Vader was inane. I'm also tired of seeing people repeatedly gutted by lightsabers and living through it just fine, esp after poor Qui-Gon got the short (glowy) end of the stick and dropped. There was much more than this as well. It's okay to write a show that is accessible to adults and children, but the plotting logic should never feel like a ten-year-old constructed it... and so much of the plotting here was silly or didn't make sense. Still, McGregor was good and the girl who played Leia honestly felt like Leia.
