What on earth was that about? After 6 episodes I still don’t have a clue! Why did a stag fall out of the sky covered in black gloop? Why were bins being nicked and what was in them? How could a lake be frozen in the middle of summer? Sorry but this was the biggest pile of rubbish I have watched in a very long time. It was tease television dropping hints and clues but not explaining anything at the end which is what you expect of a final episode. Note to self don’t watch anything written by the author of this jumbled up pile of rubbish. That’s 6 hours of my life completely wasted ….

The BBC have just disrespected one of Science Fictions greatest classics. It is absolutely the worst version I have ever seen. Spheres replaced cylinders. Martians have morphed into huge things walking about on spindly legs ( how did they make their space ships- they have no fingers?) Thunder Child does not appear. Apparently the screen writer responsible for this drivel wanted to take viewers on a journey through the main characters. So we get some modern day themes - a single mother, a possible homosexual at the heart of this twisted version. This “journey” ends with the Martians becoming infected due to eating humans and catching their diseases? A mad cow moment in a truly dreadful piece of left wing propaganda. I must make a note of this writer....I fear what his next project might be. Mayhap a reinvention of the Time Machine. The “hero” is a female veggie mother of 6 living off benefits. She discovers a time machine and goes back and forth correcting wrongs through time. The “journey” will explore themes like colonialism, cultural appropriation, climate change and the need to eat less meat......BAH HUMBUG!!
