I think it’s an incredibly accurate book to tv adaptation. Yes, there are a few differences but the fact Rick himself wrote the scripts shows that any changes were ok by him and therefore are ok by me. It’s funny, intense, sweet, and overall a truly good show. Absolutely obsessed with every part of it!!

A good solid fun film with an excellent script, cast, and plot!! Funny and well written, it’s a fun watch that I highly recommend for a movie night!!

This was such an incredibly empowering yet fun, action packed and well written film. Any hate is directed towards the fact that it is a movie about empowering women and women being able to fight and stand up for themselves without the help of men. Cannot recommend this movie enough

This is the best movie adaptation of a musical I’ve ever seen. The way that they’ve held true to the roots of the musical and the magical qualities that come with it whilst also utilising the benefits that come with a movie budget and design has created a captivating movie. All the best parts of Roald Dahl, west end musical, and the 1996 movie have been incorporated to create a whimsical experience.

This show which is known for being popular amongst young teens sets unrealistic expectations and standards of relationships, beauty and more. Not only are the script writing and storylines awful, the show depicts things such as gangs, drugs and unhealthy relationships as cool and desirable. This is not what we need to be teaching impressionable young people. Not to mention when shows like Anne with an E are cancelled when they are teaching good life lessons are cancelled and ridiculous shows like Riverdale keep being renewed

I personally loved this movie. Yes, it is a little cheesy but it isn’t overdone making it the perfect movie to just sit back and enjoy. While I would’ve preferred there to be less auto tune the songs were really cute. I also really appreciated the portrayal of someone in an abusive situation. It isn’t always possible to stand up for yourself in a grand way when living in a abusive household, particularly when that household has complete control over your finances making it impossible to move out of the house. Kat may not be making grand gestures against the family but she isn’t completely meek either, which I found both believable and done well. Speaking about things done well, the use of the ears and wig to disguise her was a clever idea. Seeing as Dominic only saw Kat briefly once, it was a clever decision to make her disguise simple yet believable. Overall, I love how this movie handles all aspects of it and think it is quite well done.
