This is not Band of Brothers nor the Pacific. More akin to…Pearl Harbor. Instead of the tradition of basic nobodies who act the hell out of their roles in a massive ensemble cast, these first two episodes revolve around two of Hollywood’s prettiest, fastest-rising, and (based on the few things I’ve seen them in) least talented actors. I don’t know if the goal is for me to spend the first part of the series hoping they are KIA or at least MIA, but that is certainly the result. I am so disappointed in these first two episodes. I don’t plan on continuing Apple+ after the free trial.

“…is it really surprising that some people just want to help?” I spent an hour giving an ODing homeless man CPR with two strangers while at least a dozen watched, four of whom were filming - even while we yelled to dial 911. I was, obviously, an hour late and got written up. This is far better than the hero we deserve right now, but this is certainly the Superman we need. An alien god who isn’t quite sure who is or is going to be but knows to the core that each human life is precious and worth the effort (yeah, flight and super speed certainly help.)
