I have become a big fan of this show. I feel a lot of thrill and enjoyment when watching certain episodes from different seasons.
The acting throughout the show is impressive from the standpoint of the detectives and in particular, the star of the show who amazes every time, Assistant District Attorney Jack McCoy played by Sam Waterson.
Putting myself in the shoes of Sam, I doubt it would be easy to learn and nail the intense dialogue he speaks in the criminal trials and having to articulate the language of Court and the justice system.
Sam is a complete natural for the role and watching his character go above and beyond to hold criminals response for their actions is quite satisfying.
As for the detectives, I have by far taken a liking to watching Detective Ed Green played by Jesse L. Martin. Jesse is simply another great and a natural for playing the role of a detective in this show. He's body language, and interactions with suspects and witnesses flows very well on screen.
Season 16 is my favourite, and why? Watching Detective Green and his partner Detective Fontana (Dennis Farina) was really entertaining. Dennis Farina took an immediate liking to the role as he was a detective in real life and there was nothing more satisfying then watching him brutalise the suspects. He's whole demeanor and sense of humour, similar to Detective Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) was great, and honestly fantastic.
If murder cases, criminal behaviour and the justice system in general interests you, then you should definitely watch a couple episodes from the mid seasons of the show. Law and Order is NOT garbage played on tv.
