She was great in Hacks so I tried to watch her comedy special. I tried twice and just couldn’t do it. It not funny or interesting. Lots of people are intelligent and manage to do great comedy. This special was oddly annoying.

I enjoyed it. It has a goofy charm. There are so many movies in this genre that are so perfect and antiseptic. This one has a bunch of “oh what the hell leave it “ edits and botched lines that make it fascinating and enjoyable. I really loved the triumphant return of the hero scene. It was the climax of the movie and looked like some guy walking in a public park. Mundane just like real life. Sorta cool in its way. The computer lady in the van character was pure genius. It was not on the level of Billy Jack or Dolomite but really fun and charming. Had a nice made in Alabama (maybe Georgia ) vibe.

Overall pretty well produced but it leans into the porn thing way too much. It interrupts the narrative. I stopped watching it after 3 episodes.

Really fun and exciting watch ! Well constructed and great production. The BBC has some things to teach marvel and DC about movies. The strength and depth of the characters make the wildness of the plot fully engaging and plausible. I wish more movies would spend there money on writers instead of CGI.
