Going into this movie I was very skeptical. Aladdin was never a favorite of mine growing up, but within minutes of this movie, it quickly became a favorite of mine. I cannot get enough! As children we sort of by pass the fact that these movies are musicals! This re make instantly caught my eye, ear and heart. I did not recognize any of the actors off the bat (besides Will Smith), but was instantly in love. They portrayed their characters very well. The colors, voices and complete accuracy of the movie was astounding. They did not change too much of the movie to make a "original movie lover" mad, but changed enough to keep you hooked. Will Smith was a huge question mark for anyone who has ever seen Aladdin. No one could top Robin Williams, but he did. He put his own spin on his version if the genie and it was completely entertaining and enjoyable. The colors, music, new songs and costumes were to die for. This movie was to die for. I would choose this over the original everyday!

This movie is EVERYTHING. Bradley Cooper is so under rated, even when he is highly noticed. This is a love story that seems so obscure, but totally relatable for the "normal" romantic. Jennifer Lawrence is phenomenal, as "weird" as her character is, I am still left envious of the person she is. "Normal" is no longer wanted while watching this movie. I want to be "weird". This movie screams "BE YOURSELF". Love shows itself in so many different ways. Robert De Niro is UHmazing! He portrays the imperfect Dad that loves his son unconditionally. I cannot get enought of him and the family they portray. With all the "weirdness" and "disfunction" in this movie I am left wanting my life to be just that.
