I loved the vibrant colours, costumes, humour, brilliant acting by some of my favourite actors. Wonka was very watchable and in my opinion Hugh stole the show. Songs were catchy and all-in-all a brilliant escapism easy to watch film. Would watch again. Loved seeing Lyme and Bath too. Two of my favourite places.

If you are a hardcore Downton fan this film will not disappoint. Maggie smith stole the show. Great to see all of the familiar faces again but if I am honest my daughter and I were a tad bored in places and felt let down by the storyline. But if you can get past that and just enjoy it for what it is then it’s a good-feel-factor film and brings back memories from the brilliant tv show and gives plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.

Take it for what it is. Escapism, humour and nostalgic opportunities. Something different and fun. Light relief in these troubled times.
