Mr. Spielberg had the unenviable task of directing great actors through this horrific story. I've watched "Schindler's List" every few years since it debuted. Like "Amistad" and "And The Band Played On" Directed by Roger Spottiswoode, it is a uncomfortable yet necessary experience. This film led me to become a voracious reader of Jewish life stories in Germany and later in America.
