Supernova is a beautiful intimate portrait of a couple dealing with dementia. In it's simplicity, the film focusses for the most part on the emotional bond, love, and struggles between caregiver Colin firth and Stanley Tucci whilst voyaging in a camper with their dog ruby. The movie doesn't try to highlight the progress of the disease and how Tucci changed but rather captures the pain and loss the disease entails over a short timeframe. This movie will pierce your heart and go straight to your soul and I strongly advise you to take a box of tissues when you go to the cinema. I cry easily in movie theatres but this one had me sobbing like a baby from start to finish. (Not the one tear crying but the ugly crying so don't go to this movie on a first date.)
