Oh how I love 1980’s movies set in NYC, especially early 80’s where there is hangover from the 1970’s (ie:cars, ladies wearing hats, skyline, etc). Overall I think it’s worth it to watch for those qualities, the nostalgia it brings, & also for Robert DeNiro, Meryl Streep, Harvey Kartel in their younger years and Dave Grusin’s music. The script was weak, not very much depth or dialogue with the characters, but you could see the underlying chemistry between DeNiro and Streep.

This is well worth your time to watch! Funny & an innovative twist on the “groundhogs day” concept with some fresh 2000’s romance built in. Great cast and chemistry of the two main characters. A feel good movie without being overly sentimental. Definitely laughed a bunch!

Portrait of a Lady on Fire is a beautiful passionate movie about two women who fall in love but can't be together. The mainly all female cast was refreshing and great to see, plus they were characters you can like. The two main protagonists Marianne and Heloise were brilliant, the chemistry they portrayed cut me to the soul. The beauty of the Brittany landscape, the art throughout and splashes of music combined to create an atmosphere that had a feeling of being a painting of itself. The lack of music in general gave it that thoughtful solemn feel which added to the depth of their love, you could feel the tension. A truly bittersweet ending somewhat reminiscent of another forbidden love story also French called The Lover, where even though they can't be together they will always love each other. This movie hits your soul.

I thought it was a great kids adventure show. It was nice to have a game of thrones type feel without the extreme violence and the humor was quite well integrated throughout without being corny. The characters were interesting and nice to not be able to guess who was good or bad right away.
