It’s hard for me to read reviews saying it’s hard to follow. The movie is singularly focused on the storyline. No subplots, no distractions. It’s cinematically beautiful and if you’re someone who loves movies that aren’t dumbed down or are looking for something more complex than superheroes and dinosaurs, they have their place too; than check it out. It’s very modern noir and I throughly enjoyed it beginning to end. No explanations needed for this viewer. It ended perfectly fine.

I loved the slickness of this version. The music was fantastic and I loved the destination. Very predictable and overused plot, but if you aren’t wanting to watch something serious and are fine to enjoy the cars, setting, and music it’s not a problem. Paul’s replacement was okay, but Han is my favorite of all the F&F characters. I rewatch it more than any of the others in the series. Plus the actual racing style and cars are the best in the franchise for me.

Ignore the reviews written in the 90’s by dry white dudes. They bashed the film because of foul language and it being set in the gangster era. No other black comedians had used the era as a vehicle at the time and compared to today’s R rated movies, the language isn’t even an issue. You have so many great comedians in one film, never to be seen together again; that this alone makes it a classic worth seeing. If you have never seen it, enjoy this treasure of a movie that I for one never tire of seeing.

One of the first movies I ever saw in subtitles. It was beautiful, sad, and thought provoking. The actors were picked for being talented, instead of how attractive they were so the story is more human, even with the mystical aspects.
