This film is full of scares and also tension filled moments with slow build-ups to terrifying chase scenes. The music and loud sounds makes it 10x more bone-chilling. The two main characters strongly build upon there relationship from the two previous conjuring instalments, making it still an entertaining experience whilst in the ‘cooling down period’ in most conventional modern horror films between heart-racing moments. My only complaint is that they failed at attempting to make a antagonist work who is up to the standards of the previous two movies, simply because it is revealed in the third act that the villain/antagonist is a human rather than a demonic entity or supernatural force. I think that sort of character is reserved for slasher flicks or other horror sub-genres and not for the Conjuring Universe.
Overall, I would say it is worthy compared to its predecessors and is definitely worth the watch!
