Watership Down is my favourite book. This version is a complete drowned rat in comparison. The character portrayals (not naming names bigwig, keehar and clover the bear grylls of hutch rabbits) are more 2 dimensional than the animation and far from an accurate portrayal of the originals than the animation. The book and original film created an emotional attachment to them, in particular fiver, Hazel and bigwig. But this version left me disappointed at best. The point of the story was missed. The powers that be thought it a good idea to add a little bit of drama by ruining the story. If you really want to enjoy this story read the book. You will not be disappointed. Failing that watch the original movie. You'll be far more satisfied and wiping your eyes. BTW did I mention their version of bigwig sucks?!

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Jeff bridges is always good but him and John Lithgow together were spellbinding. And man, what an ending to the season. So very happy that there is a season 2 to look forward too.

Boring, boring, boring and Warwick Davis is seriously Mr Wooden Monotone man.

I love that they have returned to the format of different stories per episode. I love they are character developing and we get to share in that process. Above all I love the lack of patronising, sanctimonious bs created in every discovery episode. I can breathe a sigh of relief and sleep soundly in the knowledge that Star Trek is back on course. To top it all off Captain Pike is such a likeable character that he goes second on my list in order of best captain. Whoever came up with this, the writers, the actors I give you all a huge thumbs up for a job well done. Live long and prosper!
