The movie was great up to the scene where the biologist is on top of her Black co-worker while her husband is missing. I stopped watching the movie after that scene, why? Because its racial stereotyping. A well educated white women crying her eyes out cuz her husband is missing on the other hand she's getting that BC from her co-worker who is also married. Which basically enforces the idea that black men are either a victim in a movie or a sexual object who does not have a mind of his own to live his own life without being sexually exploited by every white women he work with.. frankly it's disgusting, it's a shame really since the movie was doing great. Also the remark the biologist made when she found out that all the team studying the phenomenon are made of women. Why is she surprised ?, And why does it matter? As someone who spent time in the scientific community u realize that scientists are scientists cuz of the work they do. Gender play zero influence on ye scientific career. Professor making such remark goes to show how closed minded she is.
