The animation is fun and cartoony but also explicit where it counts. Studio Trigger consistently treads new paths forward combining and chopping up genre to make fun, original concepts. BNA takes the nearly exhausted trope of anthropomorphized animals and gives them a home with solid world building, just complex enough character development, and a dash of political progressivism.
