Belly is truly a great film that speaks living testiment to urban street identity. It centers the plot on two young African Americans from the streets of New York who knew life only via the streets. While one of the two, I'll let you guess which one, is consistently and constantly pondering his meaning of existence and his contribution towards life, the other is gaining ground on all the opportunity the streets have to offer. This film speaks to a profound occurance in young black males who struggle with identity at an early age.
